About Me
I AM EXTREMELY PASSIONATE ABOUT MY FAMILY, MY STUDENTS, AND THE LITTLE ROCK SCHOOL DISTRICT.
2014-15 Forest Heights STEM Academy -Teacher of the Year
I am a product of the Little Rock School District and the teachers and administrator played a critical role in molding me into the husband, father, and teacher I am today. Whether it was Mr. Huffman, my principal at Fulbright Elementary, Mrs. James, my social studies teacher at Dunbar Junior High School, or Mrs. Pickering, my high school English teacher at Fair High School, someone was always there for me. Together these people, along with my loving and supporting parents, guided me through high school and to the University of Arkansas at Little Rock where I received my degree.
In addition, I met my wife and soul mate Neitasha, at J. A. Fair High School. We have been married 12 years and God has blessed us with two beautiful daughters Kennedi(9) and Kassadi(4). This distinct has taught me that the world is a big place with many wonderful people of different races, religions, and nationalities. Even today I continue to learn from the multitude of diverse and experienced teachers in this district.
One of the most important lessons I've learned is that education is the best gift we can give our children. It is imperative that we equip our students with 21st century skills. This will enable them to build stronger, smarter communities and compete in an ever-changing world. The late Nelson Mandela once said, " Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world." I will work tirelessly with my students using inquiry based learning so our students will be independent thinkers and problem solvers. I want them all to be a positive addition to our society. I am truly looking forward to the upcoming weeks and months of learning ahead for all of us.
